Mrs. Helen Ruth Lee, age 70, of Manila, Arkansas, died Friday, July 23, 2010 at Osceola Nursing Center. Born in Osceola to John and Dorothy Tate Parnell, she was a lifelong area resident and retired from American Greetings. Helen was a member of Blackwater Church of God where she was active in the Ladies Auxiliary, and enjoyed baking and cooking for fundraisers for the church in her home. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening. Helen was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Lee, and two brothers, Charles Parnell and Jerry Parnell. |

Helen is survived by her mother, Dorothy Tate Parnell of Osceola; her son, David Lee and his wife Norma H. of Manila; two grandsons, David Anthony Lee and Zachary Ryan Lee, of Manila; one brother, John Parnell and his wife Kathy of Marion, AR; and two sisters, Linda Johnson and Patricia Ochoa of Osceola. |

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 26, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville with Rev. Burl Loyd officiating. Burial will be in Manila Cemetery.
