Mr. Charles Roger Massey, age 79, of Blytheville passed away Wednesday July 14, 2010 at Great River Medical Center. Born in Dry Ranch, West Virginia to Gertrude Atkins and Luther Massey, he was the owner and operator of Roger Massey Air Conditioning and Heating for the past 37 years. He was in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army where he served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and was awarded the Triple Trophy Award for the 1995-1996 hunting season by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; children Roger Dale Massey and Alice Charlene Massey; sister, Hattie Kelly; and two infant brothers.  

Mr. Massey is survived by his wife Mary Alice Connelly Massey of Blytheville; children, Shannon Massey of Blytheville and Robin Harwell of Asheville, North Carolina; brothers, Lorenzo Massey of Hanley, West Virginia and William Massey of West Valley, Utah; sisters, Louise Crane of Sandy, Utah and Alice Gilley, West Jordan, Utah; grandchildren, Shanna Lea Massey, Tra Massey, Charles Massey, Troy Harwell, Isaac Harwell, Ian Harwell, and Brittney Iglehart.  

Funeral services will be held Saturday July 17, 2010 at 10:00 am at Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Duane Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday July 16, 2010 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Cobb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
