Tommy M. Dilldine, age 55 of Blytheville, died Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Great River Medical Center. Born in Blytheville to Joe J. and Betty Reid Dilldine, he was a lifelong resident and the owner of Dilldine Farms. His parents preceded him in death.  

Tommy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Blytheville, and served as a Deacon, Chairman of the Transportation Committee, and was actively involved in the church youth ministry. He and his family received the honor of being selected as Mississippi County Farm Family of the Year in 1971 and 1983. He was also a board member of Cotton Growers Gin Corporation, and a member of the Mississippi County Soil Conservation District. Tommy served 3 terms as a Justice of the Mississippi County Quorum Court.Tommy was a person who loved cooking and entertaining. He was a generous man who was always willing to help those in need. It was this gift that was probably his strongest characteristic. Tommy is survived by his wife, Karen Heatherly Dilldine, and son, Dalton Dilldine, of the home; sister, Teresa and Larry Alford of Hot Springs; mother-in-law, Verla Liddell of Blytheville; uncle, Billy and June Reid; aunt, Faye and Ted Nagel; cousins, Stan Parks, Joe Evans, Terry Edwards, and Dona Chapman; and nephews, Jon and Brie Alford, and Wes and Leighanne Alford.  

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 8, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of the First Baptist Church in Blytheville with Rev. Greg Bowers officiating. Entombment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Transportation Fund, P.
