Mr. Thomas R. Kirk, age 70 of Steele, Missouri and a former lifelong resident of the Number Nine Community passed from this life on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. Born to William F. and Josie Jenkins Kirk in Blytheville, he was the General Manager and Bookkeeper of Langston Enterprises Inc., manager of the North East Mississippi County Water Association and a member of the First Baptist Church in Steele, Missouri. Thomas was also a well known and respected community leader of the Number Nine and Huffman Communities. He was a loving husband, father and family man for the past 47 years. Thomas was a Christian man who devoted his life to his family and friends. His selfless character came through his deep rooted faith and walk with the Lord. His parents, and Sister, Evelyn Babb preceded him in death. |

Thomas is survived by his wife, Sarah King Kirk of Steele, Missouri; daughters and sons in law, Deborah and Keith House of Steele, Missouri, Sheila and Rick Collier of Leachville, Arkansas; grandchildren, Jennifer and Nick Nealey, Jessica House, Matthew and Jennifer Collier, Alysha Collier Fleeman; great grandchildren, Sarah Beth Nealey, Elijah Nealey, Walter Collier and Abigail Grace Collier. |

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 2, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the First Baptist Church in Steele, Missouri with the Rev. Michael Funderburk officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Steele. Cobb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
